Mine was at 5:30. Just got home! Was by far the best wedding food I ever had. Delicious crepes filled with spinach and cheese, yummy salad with a cheesey stuffed mushroom, delicious potato croquette with dinner, and the best wedding cake I ever had!

Re: villa lombardis

I really didn't take many pics. I usually let other people do the picture taking and mooch off their Facebook postings. lol. But I would be happy to review the food and a few other things for you!

Foremost-- the cocktail hour food was the yummiest wedding food I ever had. It was just good food all around, even not for a wedding. Also, the salad course mentioned above was so good. I would order it off a menu at any restaurant for my dinner! There was also a lovely lemon sorbet intermezzo. For dinner, I am a vegetarian so I had the grilled vegetables. Everything was just tender enough and seasoned very well. My friend ordered salmon which she said was delicious, and my FH had chicken valentino I think it was, which was stuffed with cheese and spinach. He said it was very good. I heard the lamb was not the best and was overcooked. With dinner they served a potato croquette which was so delicious that my FH went around the table asking our friends for their leftovers lol. To be honest though, everyone was stuffed by the time the main course arrived. Many people at the table sent at least half of their plates back to the dining room because there was just no room to eat any more! As I said earlier, the wedding cake was fabulous. I liked it as much as I like homemade cakes. It was moist and delicious and not too sweet. We had a wedding at East Wind the night prior and the cake was dry there, so this one really stood out to us as being fabulous. It was served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

As far as everything else:

The service was exquisite. Wait staff brought us drinks to the table so we didn't have to wait at the bar. Every time you got up after a course, your napkin was nicely refolded for you and your table setting cleaned. The tables looked lovely with silver chargers on each table. They had beautiful menus. I did not, however, like that there was only one menu per couple (IDK if that;s standard or not).

Restrooms were fine-- shared with another wedding party. We did, at times, see bridesmaids from the other wedding. We saw them hanging out in the lobby between the CH and reception. It didn't bother me, but I know some people do not like to see other wedding parties on their day.

My final comment is on the acoustics of the room. They had a band (Code Bleu, was very enjoyable), and we found it very difficult to hear what they were saying when making announcements. At times I nearly missed some of my friend's special moments (bride dancing with her grandfather, etc) because I couldn't even hear that an announcement was made, let alone what they said. We also had difficulty hearing the MOH and BM speeches. This is something to consider that you couldn't necessarily tell just from seeing the space.

Overall, it seems like a great place to have a wedding. If you care a lot about the food, this is the place for you. I would tend to say that some of the benefits of having a live band may be lost in this space though. Just my two cents. Hope it helped! :)

Re: villa lombardis

Thanks so much for your review, its very helpful. Im glad you enjoyed all the food, I have a choice of doing intermezzo sorbet or a pasta course and I def will be doing an intermezzo now that you mentioned how full everyone was. Thankfully I will be having a DJ and we are only doing a best man speech but I will be bringing up the acoustics with the DJ and how it will effect any speeches. Thanks again! :)

Re: villa lombardis

I was at a wedding at Villa last night and I agree that I really liked the sorbet and the cake was also very good.

For my main dish I got the chateaubriand. I really enjoyed it!

The cocktail hour had lots of food. It was like a dinner before the dinner. The room is really big with a really nice outside area.

As said before the bathroom is shared. I saw the other Bride in the lobby at one point taking pictures.
