Anyone that is getting married at Villa know if they will let you have an outdoor cocktail hr? I really want it and I feel like I will not find anything i like as much as Villa Lombardis but there are some things that I always wanted and I may not get there.
What are some of the things you want but may not get there? Maybe we can help you so that you can book Villa Lombardi's and still get those things!

I'm already booked that is the thing. I think the place is very beautiful, the ballrooms are both gorgeous, the cocktail hr room is nice bc its a glassed in atrium i just really wanted more of an outside cocktail hr and outside ceremony site. They do have the ceremony site there but it is nothing spectacular pretty but simple. I do not think the will have the cocktail hr outside. I'm just concerned that it may be to cold in Nov but im praying for unusually warm weather like we had last nov!!! I have looked at so many places and nothing compares to it. I went to Lombardis on the Sound but wasn't as happy with the reception room as I'm with Villa but the view on the sound is just soo beautiful... Unfortanetly our date is already booked there so i guess that option is out... I always wanted to get married on the water.. I just wasn't positive that was the place..
well the thing is we can't change our date bc then it gets more expensive. I want the option to be able to go outside if the weather is nice. I don't know i guess my dream of having all that may not happen...
I mean it wouldnt hurt to ask the BM if it was doable though. Maybe if you wanted it outside and that wasnt physically doable, you can think about having your cocktail hour early enough so the cocktail hour is during the day because the cocktail room as it is a glass pavillion that overlooks the courtyard...so maybe you can still get that feel if you can actually see out the windows. And maybe they can keep the doors open for you. Even though I still think it might be too cold. And then maybe your guests can overflow outside and you can accomplish the feel of being outdoors.

I think you will have so many little things that will make your wedding spectacular! If you are getting married at a church, you can always stop somewhere and take pictures on the beach? Otherwise...do epics by the water!! Then you get some water shots. Don't stress. Villa Lombardi's is beautiful!!! I agree with you about Lombardi's on the Sound. I thought the cocktail room was amazing but wasn't thrilled with the reception room. I didn't like the big columns around the dance floor.
We are debating about the church ceremony. The only reason for this is that we aren't that religious. I was raised catholic but I thought it would be more us to have it outside somewhere but im soo scared of the weather being bad that the church may be a better option for us. Yes I loved Lombardis on the Sound - i just really wanted round tables and I didn't like the fabric over the windows which is silly I know. I think once it is all decorated it would be beautiful i just am not sure. I went to Lombardis on the Bay and thought it wasn't big enough for the amt of people.
can't you have it inside and outside? that what we were told and I went out there and they have all the tables and chairs. ours will be both in and out.
Oh I thought it was only suppose to be inside bc its Nov. I guess I need to find that out!! I would love if it i can do that!! Which room do u have again Gina?
Yea it is hard to get every single thing you want!! I love the idea at LOTS you can take pictures by the beach there with a permit. It is one wedding at a time off the main rd. So I did love that just feel like Villa Lombardis is fancier to me anyways.. Do you have any other pics from her wedding? It does look pretty...im so picky i hate it. If we could only take Villa Lombardis and put it on the sound with that view It would be perfect!!
Oh..one more thing. I didnt like the yellow in the rooms at Villas either...and that is why we got the uplighting... LOTS OF IT! lol hopefully you wont see the yellow at all! something to think about!
Honestly I never noticed the yellow walls.. I guess I must have missed that.
