Villa Lombardi's brides.....question?

Are we allowed to do votive candles as placecard holders? I really hope so but I heard that they might not let you.

I actually asked my BM about a year and ago and she said she'd never seen such a thing. She said that she didn't think that would be a problem.

I know that they traditionally put the seating cards out as the guests are walking into the cocktail hour. I'm not sure how that would work with the votives. Would people have to carry them around at the cocktail hour?

I used them at my wedding. The votives get lite 10 minutes or so before cocktail hour ends and the guests pick them up when it is time to leave CH and head to the reception room. So it isn't a fire hazard. They are not being carried around all CH. BUT I had Laura from LA Productions as my DOC and she took care of all of that. I am not sure how the halls feel about being in charge of that project. Not sure - hope that helps!

Yeah, that is the way it should be, but Villa does it differently for some reason. I have to talk to my BM and see if the votives can be put out after the CH.
