Villa Lombardi's or Crest Hollow

I need help...as a newcomer to the Boards (I just got engaged in April! ) I know from my FSIL that advice from everyone one the boards is 'priceless.' Here's my dilemma:

1. Villa Lombardi and Crest Hollow same price but food selection including cocktail hour selections are far better at VL.
2. Better pictures places and totally outdoor cocktail hour at CH~although VL has some nice ones and cocktail hour can be in and out.
3.BM at CH is almost unbearable...at VL a doll! The CH BM keepssaying we'll do well by you..then says the room determiniation isn't made until the week before the affair...but I'll put in a good word with operations...but I'm not sure I trust him...but I love the grounds...and I hear the food is good...
4.Travel time is better to CH.

I really fell in love with CH outside...and now I'm thiking if it rains...plus the beautiful VL cocktail hour...

I have to make decision soon...what do you think? Looking at wedding in September....

Congratulations on your engagment. I am getting married at Villa Lombardi's in the end of September (2008). I absolutely love everything about Villa Lombardi's. Their service is amazing. I had a hard time scheduling the church and the reception I think I changed the date three times but Charles was so wonderful through it all. Their cocktail hour is out of this world. I went to a bridal showcase there in february and when I saw the room set up I knew I made the right decision. I don't know if they are having anymore bridal showcases this year but you should definitely check it out. I am partial to Villa Lombardi's I think it has a romantic atmosphere. I dont know if this helps but my vote is for villa's!

Never been to Crest hollow but I have been to Villa Lombardi's and thought it was beautiful and from what i remember since this was years ago, I remember the food being great.

Just by reading your post it seems like you are leaning more towards VL and have more pro's for VL. Trusting your RH and feeling comfortable with them is extremely important, you don't want to stress out about things that you shouldn't be stressed about.

I have never been to a wedding at either place but from what you are saying I would absolutely say Villa Lombardi's. I have heard only good things about VL and when I visited CHCC they told me I dont get to find out which CH room I have until about 10 days before my wedding...I just didnt like that. Also, you need to have a BM that you can work with and who understands you, not someone who is annoying. Obviously, I voted for VL. Good luck!!!

I just signed a contract with Villa Lombardi's for my wedding in May '08 - Saturday afternoon. The price quote was higher than what I've heard for Crest Hollow. I recently attended a wedding at Crest Hollow and found the food to be just mediocre, plus we're inviting 500+, so the space at Villa will be much better!
