Hello! I am having a dilemna in picking the reception hall. I grew up around the block from Villa lombardis and always wanted to have my wedding there...but it is very expensive and I have a guest lst of over 200 people. Someone suggested Giorgio's but I have never been there. I am looking for a great Italian place for the reception. Any suggestions?????

Re: Villa Lombardis Vs. Georgio's
Somehow I feel as though Giorgios may be just as expensive if not more than Villas

Giorgio's is very nice but very different from Villa Lombardi's. They have a restaurant and you can go there for dinner. We go often and have been there during weddings, although I've never been a guest to one. If you have always wanted Lombardi's, can you do a holiday week-end, or an afternoon or Friday night? Prices do vary depending upon the day and time. Good Luck.

I don't know anything about Georgio's but we were married at Villa Lombardis and the wedding was amazing!
is georgios more of the one wedding at a time placE? that was my take on it...also it seems like it has more of a country like atmosphere? but I could be wrong?

I don't know about Giorgio's but I'm getting married at Villa Lombardi's on a Friday night during the 'off season' and it is not very expensive (especially for all that you get). My family is amazed at how much you get for the price. Definitely well worth it if you ask me.

Re: Villa Lombardis Vs. Georgio's
I've been a guest (5x) at Villa Lombardi's and a guest (just once) at Giorgio's. I think they both did a fabulous job! They have two very different atmospheres and depends on what your preferences are. Giorgio's is beautiful because it's on the water but if you're from the Holbrook area, it's a hike and a bit hard to find. I agree that Giorgio's may be just as expensive. I've attended weddings at the Villa from a Sunday afternoon buffet to a Saturday night, no expense spared and they were all beautifully done. The couple's that got married in both places raved about them both. Just a thought....Villa Lombardi's is the new management for the Port Jefferson Country Club (which I am looking at tomorrow night). GOOD LUCK!

I have never been to Giorgios, but I have been to Villa and all I can say is that is the best food I have ever eaten at a wedding. They had so much and it was sooo good. What ever you choose I am sure it will be great!!

Did you get a price quote form VIlla's, becasue when I went, I figured that I would not be able to afford, and they told me the price I started crying tears of joy, since it was cheaper then I ever imagined.
I have never been to Giorgio's but a friend of a freind recommended that I look there, and never did since I was set on Villa's.

Re: Villa Lombardis Vs. Georgio's
When we went looking at reception halls we really wanted to have our reception at Villa's. We looked at Giorgio's and loved it but they were much more expensive than Villa's. Did you meet with anyone at Villa's yet? We were pleasantly surprised at the price we got. Also what I found was Villa's was the same price throughout the whole year and Giorgio's prices went up significantly during peak times. I think either way you go you won't be disappointed. We decided on Villa's because of the amount of food and how good it is. Good luck with your decision.

I don't know about Georgio's but we almost didn't go to Villa because everyone said that it is so expensive. We decided to go look anyway and were also surprised by the price. It was much cheaper than others told me and you get a lot for your money. We loved what we saw and booked it.

I've never been to Giorgio's, but I too, booked Villa for my June, 2005 wedding and was pleasantly surprised at the price. You get so much for your money here and the amount of food you get makes it all worthwhile. Good Luck!

Re: Villa Lombardis Vs. Georgio's
I am getting married at Giorgio's in May, and I have to say that I got a great price. They only do one wedding at a time, which I really like. It really depends on what kind of atmosphere you want. I have never been to Villa, so I can't say anything about it. I just happen to think that Giorgio's is beautiful, and the food is great. Just check it out, it can't hurt!

Re: Villa Lombardis Vs. Georgio's
I actually went to Villa first and was expecting major disappointment in terms of cost. We went to see that they were too expensive so that I wouldn't continue to 'wonder' when we looked elsewhere. We went to 15 halls and Villa's was in the cheapest 5 quotes and with more food than any of the places . I am getting married on a Sunday evening, so that does help when it comes to the price-
I loved Giorgios, but it was just too far and too expensive for my budget.
I think the best decision is to go and see everything for yourself. Villa doesn't do bridal shows until after new years each year and I think they go until March or April-
I am not sure about Giorgios- when we went, the owner gave us a 50 dollar gift certificate to the restaurant to sample their food. We never went, but I heard the food there is very good also.

Re: Villa Lombardis Vs. Georgio's
I am a Vill a bride and also kind of looked into Girogio's. The reason no to Girorgio's, it was way out of the way for guests. We are having people come in from Canada and queens and felt that it was not really near any main roads. Beautiful place though.
