Village Bridal

Got my appt finally to try on dresses, any suggestions? Anyone buying or have experience with VB? Do I wear special bra/undies?

I didn't buy my dress from VB but I wish I did. When I went there I had a really awesome experience. They were so nice and professional.

Cool! Let me know how it went. We are going on the 24th! I cannot wait. Maybe we'll see each other there.

They were great when I went. My best advice for attire is wear a strapless bra and wear fullcoverage undies.

I'm probably the exception, but I didn't have a good experience there. I just went on Friday, and when we walked in we couldn't tell who was who. ( I did have an appt btw) Then when they all looked at each other, and one of them had to get up to help, one older lady was like 'ok i'll take it' like it was a chore... She immediately asked what my budget was, and i've been unsure whether to tell them or not, but by the time I got to village i didn't care anymore. So I told her 'around 1000'. She than rolled her eyes, which i didn't see, but my mom and sister and Aunt all saw and were disgusted from then on. She was also very very pushy, where she was starting to give me anxiety. I ended up trying on three dresses all of which were in my budget, so I don't know why she had an attitude about my budget. It's not like I walked into Klienfelds with that budget! Anyway, my mom was super upset about the whole process there. I did like a dress there, but i'm going to find it elsewhere.

Well I'm wondering if you caught them on a bad day but either way that sucks that you had such a bad experience. I went today and they were very helpful and polite. THe prices were affordable. My only complaint was that the store was kind of crowded.

I was one of those brides though...I could'nt commit...I need to do a little more shopping. Anyone have any other suggestions on where to shop???

Re: Village Bridal

I didn't have that great of an experience there. I told them my budget, and then they pulled dresses that were about 4k over my budget. I didn't even realize how expensive the dresses I was trying on until I came out wearing it. I thought that was rude and completely wrong on their part.

That being said, I thought they had a great selection of bridesmaid dresses. Good luck!
