Sooo last friday FH and I booked our Limos with Dynasty (who i highly recommed) anyways they had mentioned that i should look at Village Bridal & Boutique for BM dresses or my wedding dress. (i think its the same owner) So i figured why not. I'm not going to start looking for my dress until the summer but i figured i could get a head start on BM dresses.
So one of my BM and I went to Village Bridal & Boutique yesterday. All i can say was wow!!!! they were amazing. The dresses there are beautiful. When i asked a questions the girl was all over it. Helping me in every way possible. (little blonde polish girl i loooove her) Anways so i found 3 dresses that i love. She brought out color swatchs, books... anything to help me. I was very very impressed. I will def get all my girls dresses from them. They have a great selection and one of my favorites... Bill Levkoff. The prices are great. I
So anyways after i was done looking at BM dresses, i was JUST looking at wedding gowns and she was so helpful i told her what i was looking for and she pull out 3 dresses that i loved. I didnt try it on bc i'm not ready to but whatever,
It was a great experience. The shop is beautiful. The prices are great. The help is amazing!!!! I would def check this place out ladies.
xoxo

Yes, they are wonderful there! They donated their services and use of gowns for this year's TWOTY and I had a great experience with them. I worked primarily with Julita (sp?) and she was awesome. Beautiful shop, very helpful people, gorgeous gowns, etc.

Re: Village Bridal & Boutique..
I have heard wonderful things about this store. Question, is anyone nervous about getting a dress from a shop that hasn't been in business very long? Heard the horror stories, going out of biz, no dress, no $$$$$$$$.....

LOVE THIS BOUTIQUE.
I went there when they first opened and let me tell you they could be nothing more than helpful. I ordered my wedding dress there, This tall Dark hair Polish woman was amazing. Wish I could remember her name though. She is giving me 20% off of accessories and 10% off the bridesmaid gowns. I am ordering the BM dresses next Saturday. They are very reasonably priced as well. Love the selection.

Honestly the shop has been in business for a while it use to be Lidia's in copaugie (sp). They changed location/name since they joined up with a whole wedding mini center and for the fact it worked best with their location.
So far i couldn't be happier with their service and the fact my dress was a few hundred less then any other bp in the area.
Sounds like I should check this place out. Where is it locaed?

Re: Village Bridal & Boutique..
I posted this before... but if anyone is interested in a $50.00 off gift certificate for Village Bridal let me know and I will mail it to you.... I already bought my dress and I have no BM's.... (also it is way too far away for me to look at MOB dresses...)
The certificate is valid until 12/08. I got the certificate because there was a mini bridal vendor fair at Roosevelt Fields... they were there and gave me the certificate...
Edited to add: I want nothing for the gift certificate... I got it for free... so I am trying to help out anyone who wants to save $50.00

It's in Babylon Village. Maybe 2 minutes north of Montauk HWY on... I want to say, John St.? Right by the post office, if you know the area.
It's 5 minutes from where I live so I went there with Mom to check out MOB dresses. We didn't find the one for her, but the shop is really pretty and the salesgirls are all very nice and helpful. If it had been open when I was shopping around for my dress I definitely would have gone there.
I know the owner, Charlie and his wife, they are a wonderful couple and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. He also owners an auto-body shop, which made me feel super comfortable about booking with Dynasty Limos. I also am using their free wedding coordinator. She set up appointments for me with their vendors, but I may not use all of them. Her name is Brittney and she was personal and super helpful. I felt like she was my friend after meeting with her for over an hour. I'm going with one of my BMs this Saturday to look at dresses for the first time. My BMs are spread out all over the country so I am doing each one separately and then making my final decision. UGH! But, as far as Village Bridal is concerned,... all good things! I'm just not sure how limited their bridal dress selection is... I have been looking at Eve of Milady and some others and I'm not sure if they carry them because I only see like 8 designers' names on the walls there. Does anyone know?

I also had the pleasure of working with them for TWOTY and they're AMAZING!! Wish they were open before I got married because they were that good!! They BLOW Adriennes Away (by far the WORST bridal ppace EVER!!)
I DEF reccommend them!

Re: Village Bridal & Boutique..
I used them as well. When I started shopping my mom said one of her clients recommended Lidia's in Copaigue. I wasn't into going there but my mother insisted. The customer service was unbelievable from the get-go. I called to make an appointment for that Sunday. Julietta told me that while the shop wasn't open on Sundays, since she had to be there for a fitting she would open the store for me. Who does that?? She was so awesome to deal with. I loved her. I was determined to find 'the dress' there because after having gown shopped at a few other places, I knew that this was the service I wanted and, as a bride, deserved.
Then, when my dresses came in, they were in the process of moving to Babylon. It was very organized and had zero impact on me or my dresses.
My alterations were perfect. My dress fit me like a glove. Theresa was my seamstress and she was super patient.
The other girls, Evalina and Mya, were also great to me and my 10 BM's. We were very happy with them all around. All of my BM's dresses fit perfectly after alterations (no back fat, no tugging at the top to keep it up, no ripped hems, no sloppy loose threads, just perfect).
I highly, highly recommend them.

Re: Village Bridal & Boutique..
I feel like I did something wrong since I didn't get the same service as everyone else. Don't get me wrong, they were nice and the place is beautiful but I didn't get much help. The woman carried the dresses into the dressing room but after that, I barely got any help. Once I had the first dress on and opened the dressing room door, she was nowhere to be found. There was only one other saleswoman and she was helping another bride. So my mother just held the back of the dress so I could see what it would look like. Finally after about 5 minutes, the woman came back and put clips on the back. But then disappeared after I went back in to try the second dress on. I walk out and she's still not around but at least I had the clips so my mom did them for me. She apologized and didn't have an attitude but I expected her to be around.
They also didn't have any of the 4 Maggie Sottero dresses I wanted to try on. Granted, 3 of them were new so they may not have gotten them in yet and maybe they weren't going to get those in. I know they don't carry all the dresses. But I was surprised they didn't have a lot of the older ones (very small selection). Maybe it was just a bad night and I believe they double booked appointments because she kept coming from another area.
I would still recommend them but I'm just sad to hear so many people got such great service and I didn't.

Re: Village Bridal & Boutique..
one reason why i liked them was the fact they left me alone a bit - i hated the other shops that basically gave me a gown then ripped it off me. Gave me no time to think and move around it. BUT if you really want a hands on service where they help you explain that when you make the appointment that you like to have a lot of attention they will switch gears and be right on top of you if you want.

I also ordered my dress from there. I had a great experience there. They paid a lot of attention but weren't overbearing at the same time. I made an appointment for when they first opened as well so there weren't many people around to distract them.
