I'm looking at that place, but its so far east it would make getting married in my church, which is 1 hour away, not very practical

I've been going back a forth about this for 6 weeks - can anyone help

Where is your church? I am getting married at ST.Kilians in Farmingdale and the reception is at the inn at east wind, which is in Wading River (right near Vineyard Caterers). I thought the same thing, but if that is where you want the reception then have it there. People will go. What you should do is ask the Vineyards if they can recommend a list of the local hotels so you r guests have the option of staying over. My place has rooms right in it and there are two other local hotels. I am going to send out save the date cards in advance with the information so people have more than enough time to find a room if they need it and to make travel arrangements. Don't worry about it.
