Vineyard Weddings on LI - think I already know the answer...

Um, before I waste another minute of time, are ANY of these places NOT insanely expensive?

I mean, I *knew* It was out of our price range, but I got a quote today for a $15,000 site fee + $125-175 per head... That's 3x what most of the other ones were in terms of the site fee.

Maybe if I win the lottery

I think my vineyard research is complete and that idea is dead (it was a pipe dream anyway), just making sure I didn't miss something.

I had the same pipe dream! I was not about to pay thousands of dollars for a site fee + $125 and up a head...CRAZY!! Did you check out the VIneyard Caterers? I think they are reasonable.

This is too funny - I just posted another thread asking about Vineyard Caterers b/c they were my last shot at the vineyard idea.

I'm getting married at Vineyard Caterers in 8/07. They are reasonable. Basically, they are a reception hall located on a vineyard so they charge reception hall prices. I went to three places and I knew when I waslked into VC that it was the place for us. Bill the manager was so nice and did not pressure us. They try to work with you with everything. Let me know if you need any info. Be careful with other vineayrds because they charge a $10,000 site fee. But VC does not!
