Anyone planning a Vineyard/Winery Wedding? Any thought on which ones are the best for weddings?

Re: Vineyard/Winery Weddings - Anyone ?
I know Bunnymonkey is getting married at Raphael, which is BEAUTIFUL. It has a very old Spanish feel to it. There's also Wolf Hill Estate (I've heard it's a bit pricey) and a place called Vineyard Caterers which doesn't produce wine but has vineyards for a backdrop.

Re: Vineyard/Winery Weddings - Anyone ?
Hi there! I am super excited about my vineyard wedding. There are alot of girls on here who have gotten married at Vineyard Caterers who can tell you alot about them...
Check out:
www.northforkweddings.com - she outlines all the ones on the North Fork you can get married at.
If we were going to rent a tent and pitch it in a vineyard we were going to go with Galluchio Family Winery (Gorgeous!)
Raphael is the only self contained Caterer and working winery on the North Fork - the price is high, but manageable compared to some halls on Long Island. Let me know if you want any more information...

I definitely like the idea of Caterer and Vineyard
Do you mind if I ask what kind of pricing Raphael has? I am really amazed how expensive it is to have a simple outdoors wedding on Long Island (or any wedding for that matter) - although I have to say that the North Fork vineyards are totally my style.
Thanks!

Re: Vineyard/Winery Weddings - Anyone ?
I must recommend Macari Vineyards and Winery. They do weddings, rehearsal dinners, and showers.
We had our wedding at Wolffer on the south shore. LOVED IT! It is pricey and you need to choose your own caterer. We had about 95 people at our wedding; max is 125 at Wolffer. Our ceremony was between the vines at a gazebo and then everyone walked through the vineyard to the reception. I can't recommend it enough!!

My friends got married at the Vineyard Caterers and we loved it!!! Plus, after speaking to them, they seem to be very reasonable. Great food, atmosphere, and set-up there.

My MOH is getting married at Galluccio's. I know it is going to be gorgeous, but she wasn't prepared for all the extra things you have to think about when you don't go with a self contained place (ie.. renting china, linen, silverware, bartenders, tents, dance floors, band stands). SHe is stressing now.. but it will ALL be worth it in the end!

we went with the Vineyard Caterers because they are an actual catering hall with a vineyard on grounds that gives it a beautiful feel for an outside wedding. They are very nice there too. you won't have to worry about china or bringing food there. It's already done like a regular reception hall. and they have beautiful grounds for an outside wedding. (that's why we changed our date from Oct to Sept.!)

It changed recently, and there are two kinds of receptions. THere is a site fee of anywhere from 3-10K depending on the time of year - and then a per person fee that is fairly reasonable for the venue, qulity of food and service. You can have your ceremony there at no additional charge, and EVERYTHINBG is included in the per head price - valet, all top shelf bar, wine tasting during event - it's great.
FM me if you want to know anything else...

I know usuk2004 got married at Raphael and her pics from Duet were amazing!
Also, there is a girl on here whose family owns one...I think it's Macari Vineyards and am470 is her screen name.
