Is anyone familiar with the area around the apartment complex 'Orleans Village'. It's 4500 Southland avenue in Alexandria. We're looking for a nice area to live in. We're not familiar with which areas aren't that nice.
TIA!!

Re: Virginia ladies
I'm moiving to Virginia next year and I have family there but they are in Chesterfield a suburb close to Richmond. I don't know where in Alexnadria you will be but I haven't too many good things about Alexandria. All the apt. complexes look great but they can be in a not too good area. Good luck.

I don't think that is the best place to live. I've been renting in Alexandria for 4 years now so I know the area. I would check out www.apartmentratings.com for advice. But realize The two buildings I've lived in and would recommend to others only have a 45% rate of 'would recommend.'

Re: Virginia ladies
Sorry to bump an older post but just wanted to say I wouldn't recommend Orleans Village either. I've lived/worked in northern VA since 1996 and spent 7 years in Alexandria. Feel free to FM me if you have some specific questions about the area. Good luck with your move and welcome to Virginia!
