Ladies, I am finally stepping out to visit halls, I have done research via their websites and have decided that the first halls I will visit this weekend are the following:
Crest Hollow Country Club Fox Hollow Chateau Briand Westbury Manor Jericho Terrace Leonard's of Great Neck
I got a list of questions from this site to ask, but I notice all you girls talk about negotiating, how do I do that? Is there anything typical that you guys have negotiated for? Any advice on these sites? BM not to speak to etc.? Anything is greatly appreciated
I will visit another 5 next weekend as well

Dont let them talk you into getting anything you do not want...if there is something you are unhappy about...let them know...see what they are willing to substitute or throw in extra

I can give you info on JT anything you need to ask just fm me...My bm is chad and he is great, alsoeverytime we've gone we always also talk to michael claus, not sure how you spell his last name, they both are great. we dont talk to michael about our contract or anything like that just regular stuff, fh ends up talking to him for a long time.

I visited all of the above and out of all of them my favorite is Jericho Terrace. Their pricing is reasonable and their dome room is beautiful!

I worked with Arthur Viana at Fox Hollow. I felt he was personable and helpful but he did get sidetracked easily. I've change something in my contract twice since I've signed it and he was been so helpful and pleasant! I think he works on Sundays.

FH told him what he does for a living and on the first day there he asked if he could fix his computer...he asks for him everytime i go there now! I love him he is the best

you may not even want to negotiate the first time you visit you can wait until you are ready to sign a contract

you have a great list to start with! i looked at Fox Hollow and LOVED it, Jericho terrace was FH's favorite, also very nice. good luck! i would ask price ranges for different times of day/season, and then go from there and see what they can do for you. i would just get a general idea first what they offer and then do negotiating at a later time if you think you are interested in the place.

If you have any questions about the Chateau Briand feel free to ask me. I booked my wedding there. They are very helpful and the food was excellent. I love the place also.

I love artie! i met him while I was looking at RHs and felt so bad that I didnt book there. He is such a nice guy! i want to hook him up with one of my friends but he has a girlfriend!
