visiting florists

tell me what you had preparred before you met with florists

Like did you know your colors? did you come with pictures? did you know what flowers you wanted?


I want to look at florists but im really not sure what I want. i know I want something high. I havent picked colors because i want to wait till we find a BM dress and see what colors they come in and go from there.

I pretty much knew everything I wanted.

I didn't have any dresses picked out - just BM color.

I think you'll be OK, just go with a theme in mind - romantic, elegant, classy, fun, different, unique, weird, etc...

It helps though to know the BM dress color - have you no idea???

ETA: I went with pictures, because what I wanted was pretty specific...

well i love tiffany blue but im concerned that im going to have a hard time finding a dress we all love in that color.

I am really leaning towards black... since i think most dresses will come in that color... and it will make picking easier.

I told them the BM dress color and I took pics with me of the bo-k that I wanted, then asked each one I went to to kind of just think something up for the centerpieces and BM bo-k's based on those two things.

....And I still may change what I want.

I had pics of everything I liked, styles, colors, etc. Even is something was not the color I wanted, but was the flowers/style I wanted. It definitely helps to have the bm dresses picked out and pics/swatches. I know the general color, but have not chosen them. Most florists liked that I had pics.

Some wanted a blank slate and wanted the swatches to match up flowers to. I am the type who knows what I want, but I'm definitely open to change once I see it doesn't work.
