Ok Girls.... As some of you already know, my FH is away (in the army), my mom is busy tomorrow preparing dinner for the FIL's.... and I just made last min appointments today to see 2 florists tomorrow. (oh and the MOH just left to go on her 2nd honeymoon.... ) ..soooo it looks like I'll be running around alone to see Burton's & Flower Barn. Does anyone have any lists of questions I should ask the florist? I need to prep before hand!!! LOL

Re: Visiting Vendors (ALONE) tomorrow...
I just started looking at florists myself, so I am a newbie at this. BUT- I have learned to be sure and ask how many flowers would be included in the different bouquets and centerpieces (this is a big point of comparison between florists) and also make sure they break down the cost of each type of thing. For example,
bouquets and boutiners- ceremony flowers- centerpieces-
This will also help you compare.
HTH!

Re: Visiting Vendors (ALONE) tomorrow...
I booked Flower Barn...Mike was really nice
1. Definately ask to see a sample before booking
2. if they ask your budget low-ball it by about $500 somehow they find ways to make what you want work
3. if it works for you ask if you pay all cash will they leave out the tax.
4. ask if they will throw in backups for the grooms and an extra GM boutineer (sp)
5. lastly always ask is that the best you can do?

I'm not sure if you deff need an appointment...but you can share my time with me if you want to get in there while you are on LI tomorrow. I'll be there at 1pm.
Good idea about the flowers...but the only problem is I haven't been able to find the centerpieces that I want.... they are the tall roses with the crystals hanging down from them.

Just a FYI,if you really didn't want to go alone, you can email Burtons and they'll send you a quote by email!
