Visted Swan Club & Sans Souci...
Hi ladies!
So we started our RH search today. I grew up about 5 mins from Swan Club and Sans Souci so we decided these RH's were a good place to start.
We're aiming for a Saturday evening wedding in June 2009. Our guest list is 130 people and we figure about 100 should show up.
Swan Club:
Loved it. The grounds are so well kept and I love that it's just a few blocks from where I used to live and where my Mom currently lives. Our size wedding allows us to be eligible for the two smaller rooms. We loved the one on the main floor (I think it's the Contessa Room). The room in the lower level was nice (had a great view) and liked that the bathrooms would be private, but the low ceilings didn't do it for us.
Price: $98/person including everything you'd expect. They also throw in a Viennese table because we're having a Saturday PM wedding.
Sans Souci: I thought I had read somewhere on the web that the minimum for Sans Souci was 100 guests, so i was surprised when we were told the min. they'll allow is 125. This rules Sans Souci out for our wedding. I liked that it was an intimate feel, and the dining room is absolutely gorgeous. I wasn't thrilled that if it rains the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception would pretty much be in the same location. I also didn't like that the tables for the outdoor cocktail hour are just on the grass, it looked a little messy to me. The views are fabulous, but we've got to rule it out because of our size.
Price: $89/person for Premier menu, ceremony package is $650.
Next weekend we're checking out the Carriage House at the Milleridge Inn (they told me 130 is the MAX there) and Crest Hollow Country Club. I'll let you know what I think of those!
