Please don't think I'm crazy. I am a little concerned about something and am wondering if anyone out there has experienced something similar. I get migraines w/ a visual aura...usually looks like a flashing calidoscope (sp?). I don't get migraines a lot, but in the past couple of months, after a particularly bad migraine, I get like a quick lightning flash in my field of vision when I look at something and get floaters or like what you get when someone has taken your picture (not what I usually get w/ migraine). I get these quick visuals pretty much on a daily basis. They last for a few seconds or less and that's it. Has anyone had something like that and had it connected to migraines, or can this be something w/ my eyes specifically? I don't get a headache w/ it and it's not constant. I don't have REAL health insurance, so going through the whole diagnostic work up is not going to happen right now. Has anyone had this problem? Can offer some insight?

sometimes I get that too. I had an MRI and they said I was fine. The only think that works for me is Advil and prescription darvocet (sp?)
Id definately tell your doctor though. Good luck!

I get migraines and those symptoms as well. A long time ago I mentioned it to my doctor and he recommended I go for an MRI but I never got around to it. After the wedding I might pursue it to find out if there is another reason or if I just have to deal with it. I have been getting them for a little over 10 years now.

just making sure you ahve had your eyes and retinas checked???
i get migraines too and i get flashes... freaking *****!! i wish i could help more!
