Voting ID??

I was very shocked when I went to vote earlier today that I was not asked for photo ID. Shouldn't a person be required to produce proof that they are who they say they are????

Prior to going in to vote, my hubby was listening to Howard Stern, and someone called in to say they were not asked to produce any kind of ID either.

I find this disturbing. What would happen if someone had gone in saying they were me, and voted, then I went in as me, and was told I couldn't vote, because I already had????!!

My FH said that when he went to vote this morning he wasn't asked for ID either. I thought that was odd, especially how you have to show ID for everything nowadays.

I wasn't asked either. I think they ask if they suspect you are committing voter fraud. Otherwise, they just let you vote.

If you have previously voted in your polling place, your signature acts as your 'ID'. If you notice, your signature was directly above the line where you were to sign - they look at that and if the volunteer believes it matches, you're 'id'd' that way. If it doesn't, they'll ask you for id.

Some polling places will ask for id regardless. To me, that makes more sense.
