If you want to put votive candles on the table, do you just buy them from the store? or does the florist supply them? And how many do you put on the table?

Most florists will supply them. As far as how many - I'd say that's a personal preference.

Do you know how much florists usually charge for them? This issue of Bride's magazine just published a comparison of stores selling them. Target was the cheapest at 20c a piece.

My florist did not itemize the candles, so I am not sure how much they really cost.

cudge.net has them for the lowest prices i've seen. also, they are in manhattan so you can pick up to save shipping costs.

target is even cheaper if Bride's magazine is correct. . .i just wasn't sure if we get them or the florist...or the place. and how many we should put on each table.

One florist I met with said that If you are placing votives around an arrangement, you should only use an odd number of votives. She said with floral arranging they always use odd numbers B/C it's more pleasing to the eye. She suggested to use 3 or 5.

I've been buting mine at Michaels Crafts. A box of 12 glass votives plus the candles are $7.99 but they offer 40% off coupons usually every week (so I've been buying a box a week! One item per coupon!)
