Votive candles...need help

for those who did votive candle place cards, what did you use to seal the vellum??

i used double sided tape.

Permanent double sided tape...I found this out from esb980 because we were both having trouble getting the vellum to stick to the votives last week. Thanks esb980!

So, permanent dbl sided tape is different from regular dbl sided tape?

hmmm I'm not sure. It might be....I only think that because the first type of double sided tape didn't work

LOL! I orginally used 'removeable' double sided tape. I didn't know there was a difference. THAN I went back to the stor (when my votives were falling apart) and noticed they had PERMANENT double sided tape, and that worked (Scotch) HTH

I used the double sided tape for the centerpieces and it worked great it was the tape in the YELLOW packaging

i agree with permanent double sided-tape. regular double sided tape did not work as well.

Kris and i tried this and it looked TERRIBLE

I used the Staples CLEAR ones, and they looked fine...the votives were a last minute thing for me, and having to spend time cutting vellum and attaching was too much for me to handle.

The Avery ones are frosted labels, even though they say 'clear' - use the Staples brand.

Our votives appear to be taller than most too, so both the Avery labels, and the Michaels template (nightmare #2) don't work for us. We are doing ours the old fashion way - crack out the vellum, scissors and PERMANENT dbl sided tape!

Thanks. I bought the Staples ones, but I havent bought the votives yet and honestly I dont have the patience to cut the vellum and stick it on the votives.
