i am having a bit of a problem with doing the votive placecards. i am doing a sample with regular paper, so i dont use up the vellum. the problem is my votives are slighly curved, even though it looks straight. from what i understand all votives have a slight curve.
what is the way you would make up a template so that it doesnt look like the pic below? i would like it as straight as possible.
for some reason i cant work it out in my head how to cut it . anyone have a picture or diagram i could see?
Save yourself from the stress and use clear lables instead.

I actually bought a few different votive holders and found that one was curved and one was not. I am not sure how to fix it for the curve but I foudn 'straight' ones at ac moore.

I may be wrong because I haven't started doing them yet, but I think that they have that shape to make up for the curve in the votive. They may be coming out like that because your votive is straight.
