Hi Girls! Do any of you happen to have a photo of the votive placecards all set up and lit on a table? We didn't light mine and I'm trying to explain the effect to someone. I tried a search, but for some reason, no luck.
These are great. Where do you find them? Can you give me a website?

They are picutres collected from this site. Some vendors can make them for you but it may be better to do it urself. The votives are cheap from ebay then all you need to do is put the vellum on there.
Alot of girls on here have made them themselves... I believe Michael's sells the frosted paper so you can print the information on it, then you can wrap it around the votive. I think my mom and I will be working on ours.

the florist you are saying sells the paper.. i so wanted to do that.. I am having a fall themed wedding and i could not decide between that and candy apples as my place card holders... but seeing the candles it looks so elegant.

This may seem retarded, but obviously your guest take the candle w/them to the ballroom. Won't they be hot to carry?

Good question! I also wonder if the effect is as nice for a day time wedding? I think the room where the cards will be is the Briar Fox room at Fox Hollow so there isn't a lot of sunlight-might be nice!

Not if you use tea-lights. The votives themselves do not get hot. The candles are also not lit for a long time. It's suggested to light them up about a half hour before the guests start alking in.
