votive placecards??

First off, I have barely been on this week because I've been super busy and I MISS LIW!!! (esp all my 2010 brides!) so HI!!

back to the post..
OK, so a few months ago I read SoinLoveRwe2's wedding review (looooved it! ) and I fell in love with her idea for the votive candle placecard... I am trying to do it myself and I bought a bunch of votives when they were on sale 5 for $1 at ac moore.

I made up a sample of what I would like on the vellum (hopefully it will post below, otherwise it's in my album). My FH thinks it's too busy. I made our names, the date and the letter C in a light gray so that when the candle glows it will kinda look like a shadow...

what do you girls think??

I like it but I would move the date to the bottom and not put your names on it. You want the guest names and table bigger so it is easier to see. Remember the candles will be lit you don'e want guest to have to twist the candle around too much too look for the table number because they might spill hot wax on themselves or someone else.

i was thinking of the whole lit thing and people burning their fingers.. i was going to see if maybe i can leave them unlit during the CH and then have a few people walk around from the Fox Hollow and light them for me like when people are ordering dinner and stuff.. so then if people want to pick them up early in the CH they don't have to worry about burnt fingers lol

i'm definitely going to have to play around with the wording a few ways..

i FMed her when her review first came out.. i don't think she has anything in the background behind the guest's names.
