Votives or tea lights??

Votives or tea lights??

I am going to have candle surrounding my centerpiece in glass votive holders.

I like the look of the tealights, but they only burn for 4 hours. I dont want them to burn out during the reception (even if its only an hour or so before the wedding is over) so should I order votives instead??

Absolutely!!

If thats the look your going for then you need the longer lasting candles. And they look so pretty be/c they completely melt into a pool of wax in the candle holder. Sounds beautiful!

Some tealights burn for longer ... like Partylite's.

But let me ask you this - isn't your reception only 4 hours? Cocktail hour's an hour, but in a different room, right? So if they are lit right before you go in to the main room, that should be plenty of time - so what if they go out 15 mins before the party's over? You won't notice! Just an idea, since they are cheaper and bc you like them better.
