What kind of glue do I use to stick the vellum onto the glass?

maybe a spray adhesive?

I would use clear labels if you can find them in the right size and spray adhesive as a back-up.

I did them for my wedding and I used clear frosted labels and they stayed on just fine. I did not use or need any kind of glue.
