vows...

has anyone written their own vows that would like to share them. i am a little lost on what to put into the vows. i was hoping you can all help me get my creative juices flowing. i really have no idea what i should be putting in the vows. please help. should i talk about when i fell in love with him should i talk about why i love him and want to commit my forever to him? what should i do? please help

We are planning on writing out own vows and FH asked me what he should write. I said they are replacing the traditional (I think) vows, so we should say something similar to what the traditional say.

I also told him to write what he feels and what his ideas for the future are.

I have been gathering ideas for a while, and I should have been writing them down, but I am thinking of using some lines from some of the songs he has written (FH is a musician and has a CD out).

I would also say to go to your priest/officiant for ideas. They may have a guideline for you to follow too.
