Vows?

Vows?

Hey ladies,

So FH and i met with the priest last night, and he was great. But now we are stuck. I want to do the 'repeat after the priest' he wants to do just 'i do' and thats it. His reasoning is its quick, to the point, and theres no reason to make it longer lets just get married already. My reasoning is we arent saying our own vows, lets at least do this. I believe hes nervous he will start crying repeating, i know i might too.

What do you ladies think? which would you find yourselves doing?

I think it makes it more emotional and REAL, if you will, to say the words myself. I'll be bawling like a fool, but I'd rather that than not saying them

aww well atleast your FH is in a hurry to become your husband, that is kinda sweet if you think about it LOL

if you are not saying your own I think it is cool to repeat after the priest. Just ask FH to suck it up and do it for you! ....maybe you can ask the priest to keep it short as a compromise lol

We are doing the 'repeating after the priest'. My FH is trying to just say I do because he hates speaking in front of people and he thinks he is going to 'forget' what the priest says as if the priest can not repeat himself. lol

Thanks ladies. I know, i want to repeat. I really need to get him to agree. He knows i want to do the repeat, he said hes not saying def not, but hes not saying yes. So i told him to sit on it and we will discuss it more soon.

Use your powers of persuasion

is there anything he really wants that you can offer as a token of compromise?

hahaha you mean other than sex?
thats a good question. I really dont know. Hes very easy going, except right now with this. I def have to think about that!!!!! Im gonna push it though, I know hes shy, but hopefully he will overcome it this one night!!
In the end, i know either way it wont be a major deal, but i would prefer to repeat. I guess we will see over the next few weeks right?!
