VYC, 09 pricing, how to talk RH down?

OK so FH and I are selecting VYC and have to go and put deposit down.
Only thing I want to see is for those who checked out pricing (and talked them down)
Here is what we have? Any thoughts? Ideas if we can talk down?
If successful how did you do it :)

Sat Day wedding, 5/23/09, Downstairs room
Min 100ppl, $90pp (not incl tax +grat)
1230 cocktail hr, 130-530 Reception

BTW does anyone know if they can push that back an hour IF not booked by another party??
If anyone has addl info FM me pleaseee!

Thankss

we booked there - just talk to them and eventually they will lower the price - we did a sunday afternoon so we have our CH in the downstairs reception room and our reception in the upstairs with 125 minimum... - i know they are pretty much sticklers when it comes to what time they will book - because you never know if someone will come and schedule a last minute event there and i wouldnt want to worry about rescheduling hair/make up/photos/invitations if that happens and you have to move everything up..bc a 2nd party is booked there.. plus you have to remember that during the day they only do one wedding but at night they can do up to 2.... something to consider... who are you guys meeting with? We booked with Giulio.. he's FANTASTIC!

I booked with Giulio as well, and you're right- he is GREAT! I agree that they do not really move the times around because of last minute parties, or other events that are booked. They want to make sure they have enough time to clean up and get everything set up for the next event.

Truthfully, when we were looking we narrowed it down to VYC and another place, both were offering the same prices. Giulio knew that we were making the decision between the two and told us he would beat the price or offer extras. We took the lower price, (because so much was already offered) and he lowered it by $5 per person.

Good luck, and don't be afraid to say we really love it but is there anything we can do to lower the price, or throw in a few extras to make the price worth it?
