I have this Vista Security Tool virus on my computer... and I cant get it off... someone help me please... i have 4 weeks of school left... i need my comp

DO you have antivirus already? If not, download AVG, the free version, you can find it on CNET.com and it should wipe it out.

If you have antivirus already, google the name of the virus and 'how to remove' and you should find step by step instructions to tell you how to remove it.

i do have an antivirus and its not working... it isnt detecting anything

i'll try the avg thing

AVG is another antivirus program though, so I can't promise it's gonna find it... it is very good though. What do you have already, and is it up to date?

it is up to date... i only renewed it like a week ago... efffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff i think i need to bring it to someone...

i dont know what the fcuk is going on... im so pissed

Did you try to google how to remove it? Cause that's how we got it off my dad's computer.

I think that's the one I had on my computer about a year ago and nothing was helping! Eventually, I went on another computer and downloaded a different antivirus and saved it to my camera card, then I accessed that to run the antivirus off of it but for days it made me crazy!

EDA: If it's the same one I had, I couldn't run any of my antivirus or access the internet with it.

I just took this one off my mom's and FH's computers. You have to restart in safe mode (press F8 as it is booting), then do a system restore for a few days prior. All your files should still be the same, but the virus will be gone.
