Wagner Power Roll stinks!!

Wagner Power Roll stinks!!

DH got one yesterday to paint the LR with. It is a fairly large room 21x24 and a lot of wall space. I told him that if he cut down the painting time by even a few hours it was worth the $120 price tag. Well I went out for a few hours, came home and he was NOT happy. The stupid thing drips all over the place, down the walls. He said it applies the paint fine, but dealing with the drips all day took more time than if he just used a regular roller. And cleaning the thing is a HUGE pain!!
So we returned it to Lowes.

Just thought I would let you know in case you were considering the purchase.

Michele, we are painting every room over in our entire house (one by one, slowly but surely) and I''ve been bugging DH to get one because with priming the walls and putting 2 coats on, it''s taking forever (well 3 years, but it feels like forever!). He told me he didn''tt hink they were worth it, and I am glad you said the same thing. Now I''ll stop bugging him!

I understand your pain- believe me. We have painted nearly every room as well, but no primer because the sheet rock was all new and only linen white.

We have painted about 6 rooms at my brothers house with the power roller and have never had an issue with it! I love using that and so does my brother! Sorry you had a bad experience!

I have one and I posted a review on it here a few weeks ago. Sorry that you didn''t read it! It might''ve saved you the hassle. I didn''t have problems with the paint dripping, but I bought a pretty expensive type of paint and it went on nice and thick. The cleaning up part though was a huge pain, and also anytime you change attachments, paint gets everywhere.
