Re: wahoo..lost...
I would love to lose more but i think 50 lbs is a great goal for 1 year. I just need to keep active and stop slacking. i got the food part down but the exercising doesnt come easy. going to the gym 3 times a week is not cutting it. i need some other cardio as well. any suggestions? anyone know any good places for a hike/nature walk?

Re: wahoo..lost...
congrats! i love your dress btw.. it has the same silhouette as mine with that low dropped waist. :) very sexy!
so first of all you are beautiful but usually weight loss = healthy living which is always a great goal. so i can't argue with you there.
i say work on lifestyle change, not 'diet' and walking or hiking is a great way to burn some calories! It sounds like you already have a great start. Depending on where you live, Massapequa into Bethpage has a great 6.5 mile bike trail which is nicely paved with mile markers. I love running there. (and if you want some hiking trails, the greenbelt runs along it so just follow the white dots into the trail, mostly on the north of southern state i think). SUNY old westbury campus is a (HILLY) 4-6 mile loop (you can make it two by just going out to empire state college and back). many parks have even just a path to walk around a lake or something (hendrickson in valley stream is a mile to a mile and a half), in merrick there is a 1.7 mile loop. Jones Beach boardwalk is marked 2 miles each way. And thats just in Nassau! In suffolk I like Sunken Meadow (the boardwalk is marked, 3/4 mile each way), Stony Brook Campus. Indian Island Park in Riverhead. Heckshire is a loop and they just paved a new (supposedly marked?) loop. The road I think is about four miles. (which is a lot for a beginner, but in the beginning, you walk until you start to feel tired, then you turn around) Where do you live? I run with a charity team and we are all over the island. :)
