YEAH I saw that on the news this morning, that lady was smoking crack, does she really think commuters are gonna change the time they USUALLY go to work, uhmmm they take the train at that time for a reason, if we are able to take it later trust us we would lol. Yeah i take the train at 7:30 am for fun

I have to be at work at 9. Today I was at the Lex station and stuck underground for a half an effin hour when I was 2 mins away from my stop

I was considering getting rid of my car because I can't take the traffic anymore. Seems like it is just as bad on the subway. You really can't win.

That is crazy if i was still commuting into the city for my classes I would flip!!!

That is bullsh$t though. Come on now. NO ONE is going to change what time they go into work because if they ahve to be there at 9am they arent taking a 10am train or a 6:30am train- PEOPLE ARE REALLY STUPID SOMETIMES!!!

Plus with having only a certain amount of people changing their schedules isnt going to do much for the congestion. Its NYC there is always congestion!!!

I take a 6:30am train and my commute is still $hit.... so their off-peak / peak theory is garbage....

OMG the trains were a disaster this morning...debris fell at canal street so getting downtown was a mess. Of course there was an idiot waiting for the train who was talking like she knew everything and was saying how the 'E' train was running on the 'A' line, so all of us idiots ran to the other side(after waiting god knows how long for the e train) only to see after a while the e was coming on the other side so we all RAN back to the other side but the platform was so packed from the big delays that we couldn't get on the train

yeah if i can i take a later train.. BUT liek denise said.. it is NOT my choice to be in at 930... i HAVE to be on the train at 730!

it really pisses me off, and got so mad when i saw it this morning...Not only that but tolls are going up too. Its all BS because before they decide to raise prices they should fix up their system, its crap...i understand things happen, but honestly its more rare when things DONT go wrong...i mean everyday its something and theres always delays...And wanna hear this, at lexington when i take the 'N' theres a guy there everytime i am there that works for the MTA, he stands there and checks to see if trains are arriving on schedule, and stuff like that...Since he sees me there everyday he talks to me and tells me info like OH the N train is on schedule or there was a problem and it will be so and so time until it comes...Let me say last friday 5 N trains messed up and 2 of them they didnt even know where they were how is that possible, also there was a puppy on the tracks so that caused a problem...But one time the N train arrived and he looks at his sheet and says OH so and so is the conductor for this train and says he has a green light so it will go fast, i was like he then shows me that each conductor has either a green, yellow or red light next to their name and green means they go fast and make sure to get to where they have to be on time...then he asked me how my morning commute usually is, and i said VERY slow he said yeah the morning rush hours guys all have red and dont care about getting somewhere on time, then explain to me why they are the ones who get morning rush hour if they wanna ride slow let them do it late night or something ***, what should be 11 minutes on the dot from lex to fulton always ends up being 30 mins or more-thats ridiculous

I saw this on the news this morning and was stunned.

What ever happened to that huge MTA surpluss years ago???

I know in DC, companies stagger their work days to help alleviate traffic. So, half the companies start an hour or so earlier and leave earlier. I don't think that's gonna work here--who has that much flexibility here? They are assuming that companies will bend--most places won't even give you days off!

OMG... a color schedule... that explains the chaos on teh A yesterday...

oh we are goign local until blah blah... we get to blah blah... oh we are express... oh wait local... oh ther is an express coming (mind u i stayed on the local, and no express came!!!)

they want to increase the LIRR the subway, tolls... yeah FIX what we have... dont get our $ then delay fixing!?

i dont get it... yeah its old and needs alot.. but dont dictate the times to go in then increase fairs to try to MAKE us change our commute time...

MEANWHILE, ppl who buy unlimited cards WONT get a discount for travling later or earlier..but just an overal increase... please explain that?!
