I finally found two dresses for my nieces to wear for the wedding. They're white, embroidered, made out of cotton and fairly simple but pretty.
They came with a thin white strip of what looks like satin but when you tie it, it just flops over. It doesn't retain it's shape very nicely.
I'm going to Michael's this weekend to get ribbon for the menus and favors and was wondering how silly colored organza ribbon would look around their waist?
I was also thinking of trying to ifnd a solid pink scarf instead; I think that would look nicer but most scarves I've seen have been very busy.
Satin is too floppy, and the dresses are cotton, so I could pretty much do anything. There is a fabric store very close to my job but their stuff has unfinished edges and I'm not a sewer by any stretch of imagination.
