Waiting for Honeymoon?

We are getting married in Mid-June and are tossing around the idea of waiting until November for our Honeymoon. We would still plan a mini-moon a day or two after the reception, but nothing more than a few days at a b&b upstate or out east.

Is anyone else considering this? My worry is that five months later we will not still have the excitement of being 'just married'.

I was going to do this since FH started a new job and we weren't sure he'd get time off. He lucked out with getting the time off we needed. So many people wait to go so I think it doesn't matter think of teachers that get married during the school year and wit for breaks to go. You two will know it's special and that's what matters.

We are getting married in January and waiting until June to do a big honeymoon. We plan on doing a couple nights in Vermont for skiing right after the wedding. I'm not too worried about not being 'just married' since we will be going somewhere after the wedding and then we will have something to look forward to after the wedding hype is over!

This is exactly what we are doing. We are getting married in May and doing a minimoon the week after and a big honeymoon at the end of the year. It gives us something to look forward to and we will be nice and refreshed for honeymoon as opposed to tired from wedding festivities!

We are also thinking of doing a night or 2 out east after the wedding, but then are going to plan our honeymoon for the following spring. It gives us time to save for the luxury trip we really want, gives us something to look forward to post-wedding AND then we can really relax & enjoy the vacation, rather than recovering from wedding craziness.

As of right now, we are planning on taking our honeymoon in July (our wedding is in May) because I am a teacher. But now there is a chance of FH getting into the police academy so we may not be able to take one at all.

We are going on our honeymoon right after. Look at it this way it's a pre honeymoon to the BIG honeymoon. Enjoy them both :)

We are going to do a few nights away after the wedding (in October) and then plan to do a family vacation with our kids during one of the school breaks. My sister is going to come too (to watch the girls for a day or two) or will meet us with them a few days into the trip.

We are going about 1.5 months after because of work. My moh just came back from her honeymoon an she got married in April. Another friend has been married over a year and is going this Novemver. I would do whatever is best for you. The trip will be special no matter when you go.

As of right now, we are waiting on our honeymoon as well! With planning the wedding, and paying for all of the expenses our self (plus having kids already!), it just makes sense to wait a little. I think no matter when you plan to go, it will still be exciting and fun where ever you go!! Congrats!

We were originally going to take ours right away, but recently decided to wait until early December. We're getting married in May so we're planning to do a minimoon too. So far staying out east near the wineries for a couple of nights is sounding good to us :)
