how did my guest list jump to 300 people from 100 in less than a month? I had to create a waiting list. I told FH that the daily news wants to cover our wedding and he said 'well they need to be on the waiting list' I am determined to have an intimate wedding.

there are many reasons. 1.People are not used to the military especially Marines in NY so some just want to come for the show (FH will be in blues and we are having the swords). 2.Daily news covering wedding 3. people are nosey 4. again people are nosey 5. did I mention that people are nosey? 6. Everyone wants to come to my wedding with a date, baby daddy, baby momma, chick/dude I just met in the club. 7.I have a big family and did not want to invite too many of my cousins because I don't know them too well but my ants insist on their adult son/daughter to come. 8. Marines love to party and the fact that there is free alcohol makes them want to come and I have a large unit (word got around fast) 9. I'm a chump and it is hard to say no. But FH and I are paying alone. He is overseas so I have to make decisions on my own. I broke down in tears on the phone and he told me that he does not care if people dont show up as long as I am there, that is all that matters. Where were all these people when I was in Iraq? I did not get 300 letters or 300 packages.

I don't know, really they contacted my planner. I was interviewed during the fight for Fallujah when I was in Fallujah. It's weird because I have delivery guys, store clerks and I have even been stopped in the subway because people remember me. I just want a peaceful weddings, with people who love and support FH and I. Honestly after loosing my BF in Iraq this year you really get to appreciate intimacy. I am sorry if I sound bitter its just that i later found out that my mom cried everyday that I was in Iraq and none of these people were there to support my family while I was away. I did not want packages but I spent all the major holidays out there and sometimes it feel good to get a hello from home or a we support what you are doing. While they are harrassing me about my wedding my BF's mom agonizes over the fact that her son missed his 22nd B-day by 2 days. Ok I am going to stop now, but thank you ladies for understanding why I don't want all these people.
