how long are they good for, shuld i wait to but them for my 10-20 wedding? has anyone bought them, i am giving them as favors at the church for my kids(im a teacher) who come. I was goign to put little thank you tags and wrap them cute!!!

Awe I love the idea, but do you think it's a good idea to give it to them in the church...OH WAIT do you mean as they leave, like a thank you for coming? Because kids + candy apples + in the church= sticky disaster!! What a nice teacher you are!!

yes i really wanted to have them at the rec hall but my mom thinks they are kinda carnival ish...being that we already have a character artist, so i thought ide give them out after the church---outside when they are leaving with a little thank you tag or something

I agree. I'd recommend waiting till the week of your wedding to purchase. Such a thoughtful gesture. The kids are going to love it!

OOOH. Can you please FM me with how much these are running you? For my wedding next year I'm doing candy apples and the quotes I've been getting from people are kinda crazy...I never thought of just going to a supermarket! SO SMART!

I used to work at waldbaums (probably going back at nights to help pay for a wedding) and we use to keep the caramel and candy apples in storage for at least a month if not more. They last a pretty damn long time.
What I would do though is talked to the Produce Manager there tell him/her what your up to and place a order for the qty you need and they should (if they are not jerks) give you fresh ones with the amount you need.
Sometimes those apples don't come in regularly and they sell out.
