Walking Alone...

Ladies,

Happy New Year and go 07 Brides.
Well i just found out that my cousin that was going to walk me will not be able to so I'm walking alone. Are any of you ladies walking alone?

No noone else. He was the only one i wanted to walk me.

I am not walking alone. However, one of my good friends did, and it was just fine!
If you do not feel close enough to anyone else that would do it....walking alone is perfectly fine!

If anything, it makes the union with your FH that much more meaningful......you are going from being alone to having a life partner.

i am i wanted to...i grew up single parent home so my brothers are gonna walk my mom and i gonna parade my self down the aisle....

I'm sorry for your cousin not being able to do this for you. I am considering walking alone. Both of my parents passed away. I have 1 brother that I'm not close with. I'm contemplating asking him, only because that is probably what my parents would want. There are other male relatives that I could ask, but I really don't have a close relationship with any of them. I was thinking of asking my godfather, but he already suggested to ask my brother.

I'm still sorta considering it...my stepdad, whom I considered my dad, passed away 3 years ago. I thought in order to honor him, I'd walk alone because I still feel like he is the only one that should walk me down the aisle. I love my mom, but I know it would be so emotional for her...and we're both too shallow- we like the look of a man walking the bride down better! hahaha! At least we can admit it!

Although now I'm debating whether or not my brothers-in-law will walk me down the aisle. My one brother in law has known me since I was 9, the other since I was around 18 or so. It's so hard to choose, so I might have one walk me half way and the other the rest...but I still feel like walking alone sounds really cool!!!

I think there is such meaning to walking alone...you're an independent woman!! And here you are, taking a path to the rest of your life. I think it's awesome!! You can totally do it!!

I'm not the type to get scared by peoples' eyes on me (ya know, that comes from being a performer and all haha), but the idea of the 120 feet aisle at St. Rose does!

I dont see why walking alone is a problem thats just my opinion tho. I am really sorry that this is happening to you tho...

I totally wanted to walk down the aisle by myself since my father wouldn't do it. I was thrilled to want to do so, but my mom had a fit, so I'm walking down w/ my uncle. I see nothing wrong walking down alone. All eyes will me on you whether you walk alone or with someone else.
