Walking Alone...

Hey Ladies,

Happy New Year and congratulations to all the 06 for your weddings. I wanted to ask i'm getting married in 3 weeks and i just found out by my cousin that he will not be able to walk with me so i'm walking alone.
Did any of you ladies walk alone?
I'm a little scare.

Sorry to hear that!! Do you have a good friend who could walk with you? Or maybe your mom? I don't know your personal situation but some women walk with their mom. Good luck to you and have a wonderful wedding!!

I also wanted to walk alone in the first place but than my FI didn't want me to walk alone so i ask my cousin but he can't go so now it hurts.

A LOT of my guests didn't 'realize' I had walked alone when I mentioned something about it they all siad 'Wait, your dad didn't walk you down??'

No one notices anything but the bride anyway!

Don't be nervous. I was nervous for a second right before I walked out but the SECOND I saw my FH everything around me melted away!! You'll do great, I'm sure.

I've been to a wedding where the groom waited outside of the church for his bride and they walked in together.

It was pretty cool to see it done that way.......

Me too....My father passed away a long time ago and didn't want to replace him. I was very very nervous that I wouldn't get through it - but honestly as soon as I got to the aisle I was fine. I just looked at my DH and walked toward him with the biggest smile on my face.

i saw on a show once -
the groom met the bride 1/2 way down the aisle. she didnt have her dad around - so it was a symbolism that her DH would always meet her 1/2 way and they would walk together.

i thought that was sweet.

I walked alone.

My father was not there. My mom was going to walk me but I realized 3 days before the wedding that the aisle was too narrow.

It was just fine. She walked before the FG and me. Nobody thought anything of it!
