Is anyone having the guys already at the alter with FH and having the girls walk down by themselves? I think its nice in a way - I believe its the Jewish Tradition ---
Or do you think its better to have the guys and girls walk in together??

as of now i think im having the guys just 'be there'. my church has a side entrance that goes straight to the altar...so i might have them just walk in together from that side (so that they are already there when we're about to begin).
but im having the girls walk in solo regardless of what happens with the guys.
if the guys arent going from the side...they would just go down the aisle to no music etc. (or well background music...not like a 'song').

Oh okay thanks this is what i am thinking... where will you have them be? standing beside FH at the alter OR in the pew already??

im doing a full mass so i believe the bp (other than the bm and moh) are in pews. but im not sure if they go straight to the pews...or to the altar first and then are seated.
maybe ill have everyone stand at the altar at first...then once i walk down and my dad does his thing...they can go to the pews (like when everyone gets seated etc).
if u are having it in a church (or reception call)...and not a full mass, just the ceremony...i think the bp stays standing by the altar etc.

Oh really? I didn't know this. I am not having a full mass but having it at the church. You think everyone stays at the alter? I don't think I like that. I just want MOH and BM at the alter.

I hate when the girls walk in with the guys. I'm going to have them process in alone, and recess in couples. I think when they walk in together it looks like a ho-down.

i had my girls process down the aisle alone, and then after the cermony they where escorted by a gm
this is jmo but i dont like whent he guys and girls go down together

For my wedding, the BM stood next to DH at the alter. My BM and MOH walked down the aisle by themselves.

Really? I have only seen and been in weddings where the guys and girls walk in together down the aisle. but I think I like just the girls walking down without the guys.

Thanks for your responses ladies. I feel like people were looking at me funny that my idea of having the girls walk in alone was crazy. I see its not.
