Some of you may know that Matt lost his grandmother almost two weeks ago. She has been sick for a real long time and when she made this last bad turn, she told FMIL how happy she will be knowing that she is 'there' at our weddng because of the family prayer book.
Their family prayer book is normally attached to the bride's bo-k and the family believe that along with the marriage the book is blessed every time. Afterwards, the couple signs the book. It was part of Matt's grandmother's family for a very long time.
My dilema is that I will not be able to attach my bo-k to the prayer book because of the style of my bo-k. Do you think it will be too difficult to walk down the aisle, carrying my bo-k, the prayer book all while holding onto my dad??
TIA

How big is the prayer book? If it's not too big you shouldn't have to much of a problem carrying the book. I think that's a Beautiful idea.

Depends on how big the book is, I would think you should be able to manage it somehow. Let us know what you decide.

Re: Walking down the aisle
Hey, I went down the aisle with my bouquet and both my parents. My mom held my right hand, I held my bouquet in my left, and my dad took my left arm. You could hold the bouquet in one hand, the prayer book in another, and have your dad hold your arm like mine did. I've seen a lot of brides being walked down the aisle that way. Here's a shot--right there he's holding my forearm kinda oddly, but eventually he had his arm through mine, but I don't seem to have a good shot of that...hmmm...
I seem to stuff everything down my shirt. So I would say stick it in your bra (unless it has to be blessed during something, then that wouldn't look so good).

Don't think that is a good idea- we want it to be seen

I think you could definitely carry it! Bo-K in one hand, book in the other and then just meet your hands such as if you were holding both items with both hands.

My friend had one. She put it in a chiffon bag with a drawstring and carried it around her wrist. She then had it put on the altar during the ceremony.

You can hold it in your arm-the way you held your books in HS and your boki n that hand also...you can do it
