I was going to have my dad walk me down but now my son is determined to do it. I think he's a little too old to be the ring bearer and he said he's gonna look like a retard... His exact words.. LOL

What about a Jr Groomsman? i think its cute that he wants to walk you down the aisle, but i do think it might hurt your dads feelings...

Re: Walking down the aisle...
My brother walked my mother down the aisle when she was remarried--he was 13. Everyone thought it was so sweet and adorable. My brother was the first person to tell her that she should marry my stepfather so she thought it was only fitting. If your dad wants the honor, maybe they can both walk you down together?

Maybe have him as a JR. Groomsman-if he still wants to walk you then why not have your father and him walk you? I think its a sweet idea

I really think that is the best idea ever. Who cares if he is 8 he is your son and the fact that he wants to do that why not! Go for it! It will be something he will have for the rest of his life. Also, maybe or maybe not you might have someone else and years from not you might regret you didnt have him do it! JMO

Re: Walking down the aisle...
I have an eight year old (who was 7 when I got married)...
If he asked to walk me down the aisle, as much as I wanted my DAD to do it... i WOULD HAVE... I think it's adorable and sweet that he wants to do it...
Is he your FH's son also?
We had my son come up to the alter after we said our vows and my DH & my son said vows to each other.
'I promise to play with you... help you with your homework... play gamecube and baseball with you...' etc etc.
that is something you can think about too... not a dry eye in the house... and this way, my son felt like he was involved in our marriage... not just DH & I.
