Walking down the aisle question...

Walking down the aisle question...

Is anyone having their father AND their mother walk them down the aisle? Is the aisle even wide enough?

Depends where you are, I guess. Some churches or temples might not have an aisle wide enough. You'd have to check. I had both my parents walk me down the aisle, and I'm very happy I did. I never considered otherwise. Both my parents raised me, so they both got the job. Although I think my mom was quite touched when I asked, it was the first and only time she would ever do it. I was proud to have both of them walk me. I'm at work so I don't have a photo on this computer, but here's a link:

Since we had our wedding at the hall, I just told them in advance that I was having both my parents walk me down the aisle, and that we were big people, so they needed to make sure that they set up the chairs far apart!

If you can do it in your ceremony location--do it. My mom was so happy. Yours will be too. And I can't imagine that your dad will mind, mine didn't.

I am definetly having both walk me down the aisle. My stepdad has been in my life for a very long time but my mom raised me as a single mother for years, so this is definetly a way that I would like to honor her.. I'm not in communication w/ my father so that's not an issue.
