We figured out how we are walking down the aisle but a little problem arose. Its going to be:
Fi & Best Man
Fi's mom & stepfather
Fi's dad
Fi's grandmother & fi's brother (hes wheeling her down the aisle)
One Groomsmen & my mom
Then the actual bridal party starts with the 4 girls and 3 guys-MOH is walking alone, then dad and I.
Here's the problem-I picked out the music for the girls and guys to walk down the aisle to. Fi thinks him and his mom, dad, grandma, my mom are going to walk down to it too. But I would like a bit of seperation between my mom and the girls. He is a bit upset about it. My feeling is that there should be a moment or two before the girls walk down to seperate the 'bridal party'. I know parents are part of the 'bridal party' but I mean the actual girls. Anyhow, he wants to know what he is going to walk down to. I told him pick any song he likes to walk down to, that way it will be more special for him. I understand hes a little hurt but I am hurt too. I dont want the girls walking right after my mom. Doesnt seem as special. I will prob need some time after he walks down the aisle anyhow to put the train on and the veil. We are having some pics done before the ceremony and I still want to surprise him when I walk down the aisle so I wont have the train or veil on until the big walk! What are you all doing? What do you think?

Walking down the aisle question (long)
There will be a separation before the girls walk down anyway. If you are having limos, the drivers will facilitate this for you and they know when to send who down the aisle. After the parents are seated, they will wait a minute (music will be playing the whole time) and then the music for the girls will start and they will begin their walk. After the last girl, boy whoever goes, they will close the doors, if there are doors, or pause and then begin the wedding march for you to go down. I don't see why you can't use the same song for his parents and for your girls. The organist will just keep playing it continuously. It'll be nice.

Walking down the aisle question (long)
I think the different music idea is nice. There should be some seperation between the family and the actual bridal party. The only thing is, would the music have to stop completely for a second to change over to another song? If it does, It might break the flow a little, and a few moments of pause in the procession might be better.

Walking down the aisle question (long)
My church had suggested that I pick 3 pieces of music for the processional. One for the family, 1 for the bridal party and 1 for the bride. It was kind of moot point for us because the only family that walked down the aisle before the bridal party was my brother in law escorting my mother in law. But they did suggest 3 different songs.

Thank you
Thank you for your answers. I like the idea of the 3 different songs for all of us because it creates a different sound. Our dj will be doing it so I dont think there will be a break in between songs, it should just cut to the next song. Now the problem is what song for the family and Fi. The girls are walking to Pachelbel Canon and I dont know what I am doing... traditional-the wedding march? I would like something different but I can worry about that later, right now I have to get a song for Fi to like. Any suggestions? Thank you again!!!
