I was hoping I could get some advice from you lovely ladies
How long does it typically take to get the whole bridal party down the aisle before the bride starts walking? I have a bridal party of 4 BM's and 4 GM's and we have FH's parents and the ringbearer/flower girls. My parents will both be walking me down the aisle.
I know it's different cases because it depends on how long the aisle is, how many bridal party members, etc. but I just wanted to get an estimate/idea so I can see if the song I want works.
TIA!

Re: Walking down the aisle Timing
Get a tape measure, measure your aisle, get your song, and walk it. See how fast you have to tell your party to pace themselves.
We're not close enough to our church to go visit easily but when we do go there that's what I'm going to do when it's empty! Measure it!! Then walk the length at home with the music we pick.
Practice practice practice!!! Yes.. I've got my quirks.

Are you walking down to the same song as your bridal party? If not, then it shouldnt be an issue. Your DJ or whoever is doing your ceremony should be able to help you with this.

Yes I met with a DJ who knew this... I can't remember the timing he told us but he had a really good idea of how music we'd need.

Yes, best thing to do is to actually visit your church or RH and have your iPod and walk down the aisle while listening to the song to get an idea. Also, I'm sure your DJ can help you out also.
I was actually thinking of doing this lol.. But now the song I wanted to have everyone walk down the aisle to.. I ONLY want to walk down to so now I have to pick another song for the BP and figure out timing for both ahhhh lol

Re: Walking down the aisle Timing
I had a large bridal party 6 bm, 6 gm, 2 flower girls, ring bearer plus both sets of parents and even though I used a different song I had my dj loop the song so that it repeated a couple of times and he put it on a cd for me to play.

Re: Walking down the aisle Timing
I'm getting married at the reception hall so unfortunately I don't have the option of measuring, or walking the aisle with my iPod.
That's why I was hoping someone could give me an idea of how long theirs is/ was. Im using the same song for myself and the bridal party. But I can call my Dj and see if they know. Thanks ladies!

Re: Walking down the aisle Timing
I gave them a song and they work out the timing. They will add another few bars or verses if it needs to be longer. Don't stress yourself about this, leave it up to the professionals.
