Walking Down the Aisle to Here Comes the Bride....

How many of you walked down to the tradtional 'Here Comes the Bride' if not, what other song did did you pick?? Im torn, part of me really has always pictured the traditional but not sure if its TOO cheesy ?! I really like Trumpet Voluntary also.

I walked to 'Here Comes the Bride' but we did use Trumpet Voluntary during another part. DH is a trumpet player and wouldn't have us not use it, haha.

At first i was against it..but then i starting trying to pick alternatives and got a headache..so we'll be doing traditional ceremony music... my friend just got married this weekend and when they played the recessional I got chills!!

I used Trumpet Voluntary....I thought it would make me cry if it was Here Comes the Bride and I didn't want that...haha....in retrospect, pretty sure I would have been totally fine!

IMO - I'm really against walking down the aisle to 'Here Comes the Bride'. I feel it's very passe. If you want tradition sans the cheese, try Pachelbel's 'Canon D'. It's probably just as traditional as 'Here Come The Bride', but incredibly elegant. You may also want to look into Bach's 'Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring' or 'Air on G String'. Any of these songs are amazing if played w/the right arrangement, especially on strings or piano. If I were you, I'd go on Youtube.com and either put in 'wedding music' or any of these songs and listen to all of the different arrangements there are out there. There are some truly amazing options.

I am walking down to here comes the bride but its the 'Father of the Bride' theme song from the movie soundtrack...it is soooo nice. That is my favorite movie!

I didn't think anything of it until I heard someone else use it and thought oh... and then remembered how the church organist plays and then and I went and convinced FH to have ceremony musicians come in!! and I want them to do something elegant that sounds regal and victorian...

I walked in to Pachelbel's Canon. Walking in to 'Here Comes the Bride' is a big nono for Jews.

I'm very against 'Here Comes the Bride'...don't really know why, just never liked it. 'Pachebel's Canon' on the other hand, i looooove...that's what i'm leaning towards so far

My church didn't allow 'Here Comes the Bride' but I didn't mind because I wouldn't have like it anyways. Forgot what was played, I chose from a list that the church provided.

I walked into the traditional 'Bridal Chorus' (Here comes the bride) and LOVEDDD IT. Made me feel great to walk down to the same song that my mom and grandma and all my aunts walked in to.
