This is a toughie for me. Both of my parents have passed away and I'm not sure what I should do for the ceremony. I have two brothers but I'm not sure I want them to walk me. I thought about me walking alone and then having my FH meet me half way for us to walk into our 'new life' together. What do you girls think? Alone the whole way or meet? If anyone else has been in this situation I'm open to new ideas.

I like the idea of your brothers, however if you aren't close with them then maybe that wouldn't be the best. You could even have you MOH/best friend walk you. I really do like the idea of FH meeting you half way - it kind of represents that you have traveled half of your life without him and now he is stepping in to walk with you the rest of the way. Love it :)

My cousin walked halfway with her dad and then halfway by herself, so I don't see anything wrong with walking by yourself IF that's what makes you comfortable. I love the idea of your FH meeting you halfway!

I love the idea of him meeting you half way! I also like the idea of your MOH (if she's a life long best friend) sort of 'giving you away' to your husband, lol.

I have the same issue! I have no brothers but my fathers 3 sisters are very close to me since their passing. I thought about going alone too but everybody tells me I should ask someone to do the deed! so somehow i'm going to try to get all 3 of them to walk me down. I feel like it would mean so much to them because they helped me out alot when my parents passed away and made it a point for me to never feel like an orphan....I would say if you have a relative that's close to you or somebody that stepped up to the plate to help you out during that difficult time ask them because it would mean alot..... if it was your FH then go right ahead and meet halfway!

I have this same issue I am having my nephews meet me at the entrance and walk me toy brother in law who will walk me down the aisle. When my sister got married she walked half way and I met her to walk her the rest of the way. I like your idea with your FH

Im sorry about ur parents!
I'm actually converting to be catholic and in my religion class I actually learned that a true Traditional catholic ceremony includes the bride and groom walking down the aisle together with the priest behind them. The whole father or mother walking the daughter down the aisle is a 'newer' tradition in the catholic religion. Just a lil fun fact! So I say if u wanna walk with FH u should!! I think it's a nice idea.
