Both my dad and FFIL are deceased. Should a gm be walking our mom's down the aisle or someone in the fam (no gm are family)?

My BIL is walking my mom down the aisle. For my sister's wedding, my dad walked my mom down first, then he did a loop back to walk my sister down. It wasn't ideal for my sister's wedding but now that she's married, we're using her hubby for mine!

Godfather probably won't be coming, I'm an only child, and both mom's don't have any brothers or nephews, my uncles from dad side are walking me down the aisle.

So you think a BP member would be best? I was maybe thinking of our Jr. GM's father (his mom is doing a reading) and one of my dad's godsons to walk my mom down. Or we could have Jr. GM walk FMIL down (his cousin) and umm... some random GM walk my mom down. (none really know her)

I asked my mom who she would like to walk her down the aisle. I gave her a suggestion that one of my friends who is not in the BP but that is pretty close to her could walk her down. I left that decision up to her.

My mom's brothers walked her down. BIL walked MIL down because she wanted him to, though I was planning on having FIL walk with her lol.
You could just have GM's walk them down and then jump back around.
ETA: why not just ask them who they'd like to have walk them down???

My FH was in his best friend's wedding and he walked the mom down the aisle since the dad passed. They also asked him to share the first dance of the night with the mother. I guess it she be someone who you both feel really close to.
