Wall Color Suggestions

I am so bad at picking paint colors....

These are the possible two sets we are getting for our new bedroom:

OR

(its the same style - just different colors)

What would be your suggestion for a wall color? We will be doing white floor trim and white crown moulding.....the bedroom set is cherry with new hardwood medium oak floor.....

We are very undecided but have been considering like a mustard yellow/gold. or maybe a sage green?????

THANKS!

Re: Wall Color Suggestions

I like the 2nd bedroom set better. A little more color in it. It looks like that one pillow and sheets is a subtle mint green. What about something like that or a soft blue/green?

Re: Wall Color Suggestions

I recommend using the Benjamin Moore Historic Collection...they have some beautiful colors, and I think you'll find something you'll love.

We used them in our entire house:
here are the colors we used:
Dunmore Cream
Monroe Bisque
Putnam Ivory
Powell Buff

(I can't remember which room was which)

I think the Putman Ivory was the bedroom, and the Monroe Bisque was the living room, but I honestly can't remember.

Re: Wall Color Suggestions

I think the second color is nice, but maybe a bit too brown...you should go to your local Aboffs or Benjamin Moore dealer, and pic up the little broshure of the Historic collection and take those home.

what do you think of a color like this? (my living room) That's one of those four colors I mentioned before

Re: Wall Color Suggestions

The second duvet set looks like it has a hint of green in it (I may be totally wrong, it's hard to tell from the pic)...

Our sunroom wall color has some green...it's not like you walk in and see a green wall, it blends pretty well with the furniture.

WHat you should do is decide on the duvet set, get a swatch or a little pillow, and bring it with you to the paint store.

I LOVE those comforter sets. They both are so elegant. I think any of shade of beige would be great. I would suggest going to the store with a pillow from your set and seeing which color will look best

Re: Wall Color Suggestions

well we purchased this set:

we bought the other lighter pillow and brought it to furniture and hated it. The darker set actually has a burgundy in it that stands out and looks fabulous on the cherry furniture!!

Still havent decided on a color. We went to Benjamin moore and couldnt decide so we brought home the little cards including the HISTORIC COLLECTION

Looks like we are leaning towards a yellow/gold. Beige would be great but we want a bold COLOR none of this pale stuff we have in the rest of the house!!! I will post before and after pictures when we are done! We are painting 1st and putting up new trim throughout then putting down a new wood floor.

Re: Wall Color Suggestions

We just painted the walls in our bedroom a light minty green. It's not very minty, just a hint of mint green that it almost looks white. The moldings on the floors and the windows are white.

Re: Wall Color Suggestions

My bedroom walls are a golden tone...it is definitely closer to a 'warm' color than a 'cool' one...it has more brown tones than yellow, and might be along the lines of what you're looking for. It's Sherwin Williams' Blonde.
