Wanna be in a story my friend is writing on generations in the workplace?

Ladies-

I know many of you have posted about this on the boards in the past...now my friend, who writes for Newhouse, is doing an article about it and needs some good quotes and stories...especially from people in NY. I know you've got some! Can you help her out??

Here is her request:

>>I’m putting together a story about how people from different generations interact in the workplace. As many Baby Boomers are deciding to delay retirement, there will be an even greater spread of ages in American offices. I’m looking for stories about what it’s like for experienced workers to interact with fresh-out-of college colleagues, and vice versa. What special challenges are there because of different communication, work styles, dress codes, etc.? Have any people had difficulties with younger or older co-workers? Has anyone benefited from a different perspective provided by a colleague from a different generation? (Typically a generation is considered 15 years’ age difference.) How do managers handle supervising teams with a wide variety of ages?

If you have an experience you would be willing to share, please let me know! I’m especially interested in people who live in states where we have papers – Mass, NY, NJ, Penn, Ohio, Mich, Miss, Ala, La, Ore.

I work for the Newhouse chain of newspapers, so my stories appear in any of our roughly two dozen U.S. papers, including the Newark Star-Ledger, Portland Oregonian, Cleveland Plain-Dealer and New Orleans Times-Picayune. A bunch of other papers also receive my articles through the New York Times syndicate. For more information, feel free to check out our Web site at http://www.newhouse.com/ and my personal page at http://www.newhouse.com/lewis.html

Thank you in advance for your help! I sincerely appreciate it.

Thanks!
Kakki
