Wanna hear something weird? updated!! haha, sorry!
So I work in Rite Aid in Great Neck 3 days a week. My Dad's cousin lived in Great NEck and was part of both the VGreat Neck Vigilants and the Great Neck Alerts which are the vollie fire dept's in town.
A patient about 10 years older than I am came in this morning wearing a Vigilants fleece. We were chatting while I was filling his prescription about a bunch of other things (he's a lawyer, he's looking for a new job, etc etc). He really made my day cause I went into work this moring really down about some things and really not wanting to be there and he really managed to cheer me up without even trying. A few minutes into the conversation I was like, oh, your shirt reminds me of my uncle. He said he didn't know my uncle, but that makes sense cause he stopped volunteering before this guy would have been involved, but he said he recognized the name. Then I told him oh and I dated one of the Vigilants about 10 years ago and he was like WHOOOO? So I told him and he knows my ex boyfriend!! Even had nicknames for him! (Chatterbox, sounds about right, haha).
So after he left I was thinking about it... I went on a Great Adventure trip with my ex and his FD when we were dating... we took a coach bus... I took a lot of pictures on that tripp... I have a photo of this guy from the bus ride 10 years ago!! So I came home to look and sure enough, he's in the photo I was thinking of!
I thought that was really weird. The world creeps me out when stuff like this happens. I want this guy to come back in now so I can be like haha, look what I found!
