Wanna know what this crazy lady did yesterday?!!

I took a whole bunch of houses I have liked from MLSLI, programmed them into my GPS (I got the name of the block from hitting 'map property') and drove past them. Boy you can tell so much just from driving in the neighborhood!

I went to Port Jeff Station and while I liked some of the hosues it was BUSY BUSY BUSY. I want some place with a slower pace (LIKE UPSTATE - but we just cant )

I also went to Rocky Point and the houses I LOVED from online all happened to be at the top of a monster hill and Im terrified of ice so thats out!

But, I LOVED Miller Place, Shoreham and Mt. Sinai.

I havent yet seen Setauket. Im worried it will be busy like PJS. Anyone know?

Good luck with the house hunting! I drive by houses that I like on MLSLI too! It's better than wasting time with the real estate agent going to the house if you're not gonna like the neighborhood anyway.
I've heard that Setuaket is nice, but it is near PJS. However, while I wouldn't say PJS is a bad area, it's not as nice as the surrounding towns, such as Port Jeff, Setauket, Mt. Sinai, etc.

Setauket/East Setauket is next to PJS - were you out today?? BC traffic on 347 was unusually ridiculous today

I bought in E. Setauket and we love it - Three Village Schools are great, and we have a half acre.

My FSIL lives in Shoreham - they like it, but there isnt much shopping, unless you go into riverhead.

I missed this post from before. We just looked at a house in Rocky Point and we were laughing at trying to walk up the hills. I never knew there were hills like that on LI.

I know!! It was almost scary!!!
